This means that the Delaware Secretary of State has determined that the name you have selected is sufficiently different from all other names in current use to distinguish it on the Secretary's records from other companies.
We reserve the name for 30 days if the formation is not complete (we do not extend the reservation).
Verifying name availability in Delaware does not assure you that your selected name will be available in all states and does not assure you that someone else has not registered that name as a trade name in the US Patent and Trademark Office in Washington, D.C.
We can for an additional fee check electronically the availability of the name in 43 additional states (44 states including Delaware) as well as whether the name has been registered in the Patent and Trademark Office.
The fee to check name availability in 44 states is $150
USD for the first name and $75 USD for each additional name.
